Grandmaster (GM) is the highest chess title awarded by FIDE. It is valid for life.

Requirements for the GM Title

• Your Elo rating must exceed 2500 at least once.
• You must earn GM norms (specific performance in certain tournaments).
• At least 3 GM norms are required.

• FM: FIDE Master (2300+)
• CM: Candidate Master (2200+)
• WGM: Woman Grandmaster
