Norm is when a player achieves the performance required in a specific tournament for the GM or IM title.

Requirements for a GM Norm

• The tournament must have at least 9 rounds.
• The opponents' average Elo must be at a sufficient level.
• There must be a sufficient number of titled players and representatives of different countries among the opponents.
• A 2600+ performance rating is required.

A total of 3 norms is required for the GM title.
