O
Outside Passed Pawn

An Outside Passed Pawn is a passed pawn that forms near one edge of the board and can draw the opponent's king after it.
Why is it Powerful?
- It draws the opponent's king away from the center.
- It can lead to a second pawn gain on the other flank.
- It dictates the tempo in pawn endgames.
Even if an outside passed pawn does not directly promote, it often wins the game through the distraction it creates.
