Turkic Chess Union General Assembly to Set the Course for a New Era in Astana

The second meeting of the Turkic Chess Union General Assembly will be held on 14 May 2026 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. Following the first gathering hosted by the Turkish Chess Federation in Gaziantep last December, this upcoming session carries major importance for assessing the work completed by member federations in a short period and clarifying shared goals. Taking place at the same time as the opening rounds of the team tournaments, the assembly will bring together chess diplomacy and sporting competition on the same stage.
