The Turkish Chess Federation announced that a venue change has been made for two major events to be held back-to-back in Balıkesir in May. Accordingly, the 2026 Arzum Turkish Women's Chess Championship, to be played on 9-15 May 2026, and the 2026 Turkish Yeşilay Youth Chess Championship, to be held on 16-22 May 2026, will take place at the Balıkesir GSB United Nations 75th Year Youth Center instead of the previously planned hall.
